Dog On the Bed
Little dog on the bed,
Your head curled down in sleep,
I hope you are happy.
Your selfless life
Fills me with gratitude.
Do I treat you well?
You ask for so little, and
I am afraid that is what you get.
Do you know that you are loved?
I know you are a dog, and
That suits both of us.
You are such a simple joy.
